Catholic Social Teachings
The Church of the Home
Last Wednesday was the first Generations of Disciples of the year. To kick off the parish's study of the Catholic Social Teachings(CSTs), Resurrection was visited by seven notable people (and Mary as Our Lady of Guadalupe) who lived a life marked by the CSTs:
Our Lady of Guadalupe
St. Teresa of Calcutta
Servant of God Dorothy Day
Mahatma Gandhi
St. Juan Diego
Pope Leo XIII
St. Oscar Romero
St. Francis of Assisi
The Church of the Home Challenges You:
Can you name the seven Catholic Social Teachings?
Can you identify how those named above exemplify the CSTs?
How can you start or strengthen the way you live CSTs in your home and beyond?
To help your Church of the Home complete these challenges, check out the video of the first Generations of Disciples night:

Ruby's Reflection
Hi Friends,
I have a lot of different types of friends. Humans, other dogs, even the bunny I play hide and seek with is my friend. I really love having playdates with my dog friends. But I got to thinking about how sometimes my dog friends look very different from me even though I know they are dogs.
I asked Jenni why that is. Are those differences that important? She said "No, you’re both dogs. If one is a different color or size, it doesn’t change the fact that you’re both dogs! Much like religion, you may concentrate on different areas of the faith, both it's our belief in Jesus as Savior that connects us and makes us one.
She read me this week's Gospel where Jesus tells John not to stop those who were driving out demons in Jesus' name because they couldn’t do it wrong if it was in his name!
I’m excited to meet my next friend and welcome him or her to the neighborhood and share some kibble with them!
Love always,
Ruby
