Church of the Home for Monday, December 23

As we gather to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we are reminded of the profound love and hope that His arrival brings to our lives. This season, let us open our hearts to the joy and peace that Christmas offers, and extend that warmth to our families, friends, and communities.

May the light of Christ shine brightly in your homes and hearts, filling you with His grace and blessings. Let us cherish the moments spent with loved ones, and remember those who are in need of our prayers and support.

Wishing you a blessed and joyous Christmas, and a New Year filled with faith, hope, and love.

Celebrating Christmas in Your Church of the Home

Auditio Divina: Rebel Jesus

In this episode of Auditio Divina, hosts Katie and Tony explore the spiritual practice of sacred listening through the lens of Christmas. They discuss the deeper meaning of Christmas, the significance of the song 'Rebel Jesus' by Jackson Browne, and how to embody the spirit of Christmas throughout the year. The conversation emphasizes the importance of love, reflection, and action in celebrating the true essence of Christmas beyond just December 25th.

Lyrics:

Well we guard our world with locks and guns

And we guard our fine possessions

And once a year when Christmas comes

We give to our relations

And perhaps we give a little to the poor

If the generosity should seize us

But if any one of us should interfere

In the business of why there are poor

They get the same as the rebel Jesus
