Afternoon Witness Talks

Ann Tretinyak:

Anne Tretinyak is an attorney and former law professor. Mrs. Tretinyak worked as a criminal prosecutor in Minnesota before joining a non-profit organization to develop a legal program to provide free representation in civil domestic abuse cases. She also spent over a decade teaching a wide array of legal courses at William Mitchell College of Law. Tretinyak moved with her husband and seven children to the area 10 years ago. She has been serving as the Executive Director at Vida for the past 5 years.

During her time at Vida, the organization has increased their capacity to serve by moving to a 15,000 square foot commercial building, adding a second medical clinic location, and increasing the number of staff members and volunteers needed to meet the growing demand for services in Northeast Wisconsin. Medical clinic services, parent education, and material support programs have all experienced innovative service expansion to meet unmet needs in the community. Expansion in 2023 also included the establishment of a maternity home program.

Katie McAllister:

Katie McAllister has devoted her adulthood to living a stewardship way a life, sharing her gifts, and responding to where she is called. A graduate of St. Norbert College, Katie currently serves as the Coordinator of Communications and Technology at Resurrection Catholic Parish in Green Bay, a role she has fulfilled for the past four years. Katie is also the co-host on two popular podcasts sponsored by Resurrection Parish: Revealed and Auditio Divina-Sacred Listening With Heart.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Katie is actively involved in community service, including ministries such as Amani Outreach and StreetLights Outreach. She was recognized for her impactful work with the Faith that Works Award in 2023.

Katie's commitment to fostering connections and supporting her community is evident in her passion for guiding the youth, enhancing parish communications, and volunteering her time. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring trails with her family and friends, finding rejuvenation in nature. Katie is also a talented creative writer and frequently contributes uplifting articles to the parish newsletter. Her colleagues and community members describe her as a beacon of positivity who always goes the extra mile to make a difference. Moving forward, Katie looks forward to continuing her journey of service and finding new ways to bring people together and create positive change.
