First Reconciliation

First Reconciliation is a Sacrament of Healing
along with the Anointing of the Sick.

Commonly called Confession or Penance, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is the opportunity to talk about shortcomings and sins with a priest and to hear Christ's words of forgiveness absolving them from their sin.

Regular participation in Reconciliation is encouraged for all Catholics from age 7 years and older. First Reconciliation typically occurs during a child's second-grade year.
