Site Advisory Council
Supports all students’ education and co-curricular experiences through observations, recommendations, and evaluation. The S.A.C. is a site committe of the Grace system. The focus of the S.A.C. is on Enrollment, Marketing, Fund Raising and Development, and is advisory to administration of the school. All parents are welcome to serve on committees and to attend the monthly meetings.
Interest Areas
Interest areas explore, introduce and follow through on educational and supportive components required for the continuous improvement of student learning and the Resurrection Catholic School experience. Interest areas usually meet monthly, with some topics and projects requiring additional time. A member of the School Board will serve as the liaison from each Interest Area to the School Board.
- Academic Affairs
- Working with the School Board and the Principal to ensure that the academic mission is thoroughly fulfilled, with a special emphasis on students and assessment (including service and service trips).
- Budget and Finance
- Reviews operating budget, recommends tuition and fee levels, and considers other financial matters relating to the educational goals ( one Member serves on the parish finance committee.
- Marketing and Public Relations
- Focuses on creating and implementing a new students recruitment plan, highlighting students and staff accomplishments, and increasing community awareness of the school.
- Policy and Procedure (including facilities and technology)
- Assists the principal with monitoring current policies and procedures, studies local impact of Diocesan policy changes, and recommends new policies and procedures as needed; the technology portion of the group acts as a liaison with the parish technology committee and Blue Ribbon commission for facilities.
- Strategic Planning
- This newly created group will take a long term look at the future of the school and develop a plan to ensure that the direction of the school is consistent with its mission.
