Responsibilities of the Resource Teacher:

Perform fluency and running records assessments for classroom teachers on a regular basis

Assist with administration of MAP testing for students in grades K-8

Assist classroom teachers with interpretation of MAP testing

Co-teach with classroom teachers when needed
-
Instruct students in small groups or one-on-one for remedial and accelerated purposes
-
Prepare alternate lesson plans for classroom teachers when needed
-
Provide extra resources for teachers when planning lessons
-
Provide appropriate materials and websites to parents for remedial or enrichment practice
-
Administer Kindergarten screening assessments for 4K students
-
Administer the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement (K-TEA) and provide results for parents
-
Maintain paperwork regarding evaluations of students with special learning plans
-
Meet regularly with teachers to determine what modifications may be needed for individual students
-
Create Student Service and GRACE Student Service Plans to promote differentiated instruction for students as needed
-
Follow up and communicate with parents on progress of Student Plans
