Phy Ed/Health, Mrs. Petrick

Mrs. Faith Petrick teaches Physical Education PK through 8th grade and Health grades 6 through 8. Faith joined the Resurrection teaching staff in 2001. Before Resurrection Faith taught and coached at Pacelli High School in Stevens Point, WI, taught at St. Paul in Mosinee, WI and worked at the Red Cross (Portage County) teaching Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructors, CPR, and First Aid. After moving to Green Bay in 1997 from Stevens Point, Faith taught Technology and Physical Education and Health at St. Philip for 4 years. With the imminent closure of St. Philip, she moved to Resurrection and St. Matthew to teach. In 2001 Resurrection turned to full time and Faith took the plunge to work in one place.

Education holds a big spot in Faith’s life. She is certified in:

Physical Education (PK-12)
Adaptive Physical Education (PK-12)
Health (7-12)

Emphasis in Athletic Training. Faith’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from UW-Stevens Point (Dec. 1986). Faith also received her Master’s Degree in Education from Viterbo (1997).

Faith enjoys learning and believes:

Learning is a life-long process.
The brain functions better with activity.
Activity makes you healthy and allows you to love life.
An active brain is a happy brain.
All students/people have the ability to be the change they want to see in the world.

Along with teaching, Faith enjoys many hobbies. She loves fishing (for perch), playing bunco, board games, and cards and doing things like sudoku puzzles, word finds, and jigsaw puzzles. She also takes care of the lawn while her husband (Bob) takes care of the flowers.

Faith’s family is going strong. She has three grown sons:

Bryce
Kent

Bob is Faith’s husband and he is an extension of her boys. He enjoys his gardening.
