Weekly Update

Weekly Update, April 11th 2017 - Triduum and Easter Mass Times

Weekly Update Emblem.jpg

Welcome to a new feature of our website! Unlike the parish bulletin which is chock-full of great events and information, this will be a place for resources, prayers, and reminders for the week. Content (news, events, prayers, reflections, links, etc.) will vary from week to week so we encourage you to visit often.

It's Holy Week! See below for all of our Mass and service times as well as a great reflection from Busted Halo about the meaning of the Triduum.

April 13, 7:00pm, Holy Thursday

We remember how Jesus gave us his body and blood as Eucharist at the Last Supper. After the meal, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, and commands us to do the same in loving service to others. Bring a non-perishable food item.

April 14, 1:00pm, Good Friday

We hear the Passion story of the suffering, crucifixion and death of Jesus on the cross. We begin and end in total silence. The cross is our symbol of victory and salvation--it is the Tree of Life, and so we call it "Good" Friday.

April 15, 8:00pm, Holy Saturday

We hear the ancient stories of salvation, light the new fire, bless the new water and welcome new Catholics into our faith. We sing "Alleluia!" once again.

April 16, 8:30 & 10:30am, Easter Sunday, Our Parish Feast Day!
