Blood Pressure Ministry Volunteers Needed

Would you like to use your gifts to serve your parish on the blood pressure screening team? Looking for two volunteers to join our 10:30AM Mass team!  We could use one person, not necessarily in health care, but with an interest in helping out, in the facilitator role, to help retrieve records, help participants fill out their paperwork and pass out health related flyers.  We could also use one person with a health care background, who has been formally trained to take blood pressures (e.g.  MAs, NAs, LPNs, RNs, EMTs) using a traditional cuff with a manual inflation bulb and aneroid dial.

Screening takes place just once per month on the second weekend of each month.  Training and shadowing provided.  Large sub pool for the weekends you’re unable to volunteer.  For more information or to sign up contact Roseann Dichraff at rdichraff@gbres.org, or at the parish office at 336-7768.  Thank you for considering!

Join Julia Noordyk from the UW Sea Grant Institute as she shares updates on stewardship projects and quality improvement efforts in local tributaries. 

A light dinner/refreshments available in the gathering area 5:30-6:00 pm; Ms. Noordyk’s one hour presentation follows.

“Uniting the Women of Resurrection Parish through Spiritual, Service and Social Activities.”

Women’s Guild is currently restructuring and redefining its leadership needs. We are looking for individuals to fill the following  roles:

Executive Committee:

o   Secretary – Record minutes at quarterly Executive Committee meetings. Maintain membership/volunteer lists.

o   At-Large Members (2) – Attend quarterly Executive Committee meetings and help with WG activities as needed.

Event Coordinators: (A list of volunteers will be provided to each coordinator after the WG volunteer mailing in fall.)

o   Holiday Bake Sale Coordinator -  Dec.1-2, 2018

o   Autumn Fest Bake Sale Coordinator - beginning 2019

o   Mother’s Day Flower Distribution Coordinator – May 12, 2019

o   Hospitality Coordinator

Coordinate volunteers for various hospitality events as requested by the Parish.(examples: WG Coffee & Donuts, Anointing Mass Meal)

o   Bakers List Coordinator

Maintain list of bakers & call volunteers to fill baking requests as needed.

o   “Celebrate Spring”  - Luncheon & Raffle Co-Chair

Coordinate “themed tablescape” sponsors and designers.

A Green and Grateful Thumbs Up!

Led by Dave Haupt, the Spade Bridage & volunteers completed the landscaping at the parish rectory on Sat. June 30th, on one of the hottest, most humid days of the year. It looks beautiful! Thank you to all those who contributed time, elbow grease and funding to keep our ground beautiful!
