Advent Ideas! This year Advent is short. The 4th Sunday of Advent is also Christmas Eve. But that also means that it is not too late to incorporate some kind of Advent ritual into your season. Click here to be taken to some of our favorite resources.

Just Faith Migration Module at Resurrection

Are you interested in learning more about migration? Do you want to enter the dialogue with information and a spiritual perspective? Join us for JustFaith!

Migration is a complex issue that is reshaping the cultural, economic and political landscape of the planet. This new module of JustFaith offers the opportunity for prayer, reading and reflection as well as discussion and discovery related to this critical and controversial issue of our day. This eight session module provides participants a chance to find common ground and to discover more about themselves, their values, our God and the millions of people who are on the move in every part of the world.

Our sessions are January 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27 and March 6 and 13 at 6:00PM at Resurrection. This module will be co-facilitated by Marge Mattice and Michele Becker. Sign up and materials can be found online (we recommend before January 5th, 2018) while sessions will be held in person at Resurrection. All are welcome. Call Michele at 920.336.7768 or email for more information.

Events

November 29, Celebration of First Reconciliation at 6:00pm

December 2 and 3 - Advent Marketplace after Masses

Some people plan for the holidays months in advance, some like a slow pace over time and others wait until the last minute! In the tradition of the Christmas markets of Europe, if you want to take a little pressure off your Advent this year, join us the first weekend of December (2nd and 3rd) for fellowship and a wonderful Advent Marketplace.

This will be our only sale during Advent besides our weekend $CRIP sales. Come join us to support the ongoing ministries of the parish and also to get a little bit of your holiday shopping done so that we can all settle into the waiting of Advent.

December 3 - Storytime with St. Nick

All children are invited to hear the story of St. Nicholas during the 8:30 and 10:30 masses on Sunday, Dec. 3.  St. Nicholas’s helper will tell the story of the generous and kind bishop who distributed toys to the children of the village.  He is the spirit behind our Santa Claus today.  Join in that spirit by bringing a gently used or new book for Golden House families.   Bring your friends and neighbors with you to church as we begin our Advent season. Sponsored by the Family Life Committee.

December 5, Parish Holy Hour at 8:35am in the Church

December 5, Family Christmas Dinner for Ecumenical Partnership for Housing

In the spirit of World Day of the Poor Resurrection will host a holiday dinner for the families housed with Ecumenical Partnership for Housing (EPH). If you are interested in helping with this dinner please contact Michele Becker.

Save the Date

December 12, Joint Advent Reconciliation Service at St. Matthew's 7:00pm

December 10, Healthy Holiday Breads and Coffee, after Sunday Masses provided by the Resurrection Health and Wellness committee.

December 30-31, Farewell Receptions for Bishop Bob after all Masses
