Weekly Update Emblem.jpg

Welcome to a new feature of our website! Unlike the parish bulletin which is chock-full of great events and information, this will be a place for resources, prayers, and reminders for the week. Content (news, events, prayers, reflections, links, etc.) will vary from week to week so we encourage you to visit often.

Parish Picture Directory

Can you believe it has already been 5 years since our last pictorial directory?? This year is a wonderful year to participate because this will be Bishop Bob’s final pictorial directory and Fr. Tim’s very first parish directory. Let’s send Bishop off with as many of our smiling faces as we can and welcome Fr. Tim with the same.

As a bonus, when you have your photo taken you receive the following benefits:

  • FREE photo session with several backgrounds and poses

  • 1 FREE 8x10 photo of your directory pose

  • 1 FREE parish picture directory

  • $10 off any additional photo purchases

  • An additional $5 off any additional photo purchases if you bring a non-perishable food item

PLUS: The parish receives an additional $5 per family that is photographed to donate to the cause of Bishop’s choosing. This is NOT to be missed!

Why go to the mall for your family pictures this year when you could come over to the parish, have your family included in our farewell/welcome directory, AND benefit a good cause instead!  Sign up online at www.gbres.org under the "Resources" tab or call the parish office. Watch the bulletin for session recommendations!

June 4th, 2017, 9:30am - Miscarriage and Infant Loss Memorial in the Parish Memorial Garden

Special prayers, remembering the babies by name and annual planting will be part of this simple service.  If you would like your baby remembered during the service, please call the parish office 920-336-7768.

June 4th, 2017, 11:30am (right after 10:30 Mass) - Walk with Bishop Bob

Sponsored by Resurrection Health and Wellness Committee

WHY?   It’s spring and summer is coming soon - time to get outdoors!  Regular walking maintains a healthy weight and prevents or manages conditions like heart disease, blood pressure, and diabetes. In addition it strengthens bones and muscles, improves your mood, and improves balance and coordination.

This may be your last chance to walk with Bishop Bob as our pastor!  It is the end of an era. If you are still not convinced, there will be a mystery treat to those who collect all 4 puzzle pieces along the way!

June 6th, 2017, 6:30pm - Parish Annual Meeting

This is a great chance for you to meet your parish council and hear about and discuss the future of our parish. With Fr. Tim joining us in January, our council is excited to begin planning for the continued health and spiritual growth of our parish. Come hear about the past year and get excited about upcoming events.

Upcoming: June 17-18, Father's Day Diaper Drive to benefit East-side Love Life Ministry

Pentecost Reflection

As we reflect on the coming of the Holy Spirit and the founding of the Church, this beautiful slideshow offers us a look at the difference faces, voices, scriptures, and needs of this world. May is Stroke Awareness Month: Stroke Symptoms and Signs

If you have stroke symptoms, it is important to seek immediate medical attention.  A good way to remember the most common stroke symptoms is the acronym

F (Face) – A sudden droopiness, tingling or weakness of one side of the face

A (Arm) – A sudden numbness or weakness of one arm, one leg (same side) or both arm and leg on one side of the body

S (Speech) – Sudden slurring of speech or trouble speaking and understanding language

T (Timing) – With the onset of any of the symptoms, timing is imperative.  Call 911 and ask to go to the nearest Primary Stroke Center.
