To St. Therese of Lisieux

You found the hinge of our vocation,

the meaning of life,

the answer to happiness,

in a letter from St. Paul.

The pearl of great price was love,

a divine gift given to be shared.

You gave us “the little way” –

            “Do everything with love.”

Pray, O Little Flower, that your vocation

may be ours, that love may govern our lives.

Then, and only then, will peace and joy be ours.
