Adult Enrichment Committee

The mission of the Adult Enrichment Committee (A.E.C.) is to be responsible for promoting prayer, spirituality, social justice, theology and Catholic faith sharing opportunities. This is to be done by promoting existing programs in these areas within the Green Bay Diocese, and by creating such events within our parish to enrich the lives of all parishioners, particularly adults who are no longer able to receive regular Catholic catechesis.

In 1999, the United States Catholic Bishops Conference published a pastoral letter titled: Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us. This was a call for a strong parish commitment to adult faith formation programs. The A.E.C. developed as a standing parish pastoral council committee in 2001, out of a foundational statement in the U.S. Catholic Bishop’s letter. It stated; “Adult faith formation . . . must be the central task in catechesis, becoming the axis around which revolves the catechesis of childhood and adolescence as well as that of old age.”
